About MacTasks

MacTasks was formed in 2002 to provide Apple Macintosh development, consultancy, training and support services to companies and professional individuals in the Stamford/Peterborough and surrounding area.

We now also have grown to have clients in Leicester and Northampton, and have also provided training services in London and Nottingham.

Eric

A big growth area for MacTasks in the last couple of years has been the provision of bespoke databases for the Voluntary Sector. One of these, the VAL Database, written for Voluntary Action LeicesterShire, has proven so popular that other organisations in the Voluntary Sector, such as Northampton Volunteering Centre and others, have actively persued the possibility of having the VAL Database adapted for their own needs.

Eric Gibbon acquired his honours Degree in Computer Science in 1986 and for nearly 25 years has worked for IT companies and financial institutions like Unisys, the Halifax, and the Alliance & Leicester.

He has performed different roles in many successful IT projects, from analysis of the initial requirement through to staff training and technical implementation. He has successfully managed projects from their initial stages through to completion.

Eric understands the need to fulfil requirements in a cost-effective manner. He believes in forming long-term working relationships, and providing quality services at a decent price is a vital part of this.

You may be surprised to learn that he has developed software which has been used by staff from NASA and Yahoo, among many other creative organisations.

Married to Penny, and father to Nicholas and Christopher, Eric lives in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
